I have the greatest admiration for Hideo Takeda. I consider him as
the greatest Japanese graphic artist I know. He is able to break into
new dimensions and yet in his own original way carry on with the Japanese
tradition.
His style is his own. He puts in his work the essential issues of life
: Eroticism, violence, beauty and death. His phantasy is carefully
distilled into visual delights.
Hideo Takeda's talent is classic, in a class of its own.
